“I shoot people for a living…”
Welcome to Daniel Torridon Photography. I am a Wedding and Portrait Photographer covering Retford, Worksop, Chesterfield, Mansfield, Nottingham, Sheffield, Lincoln, Leeds and Derby.
I’ve been shooting people on film for over 25 years, originally with a Brownie 127 and later a 35mm Voigtländer Vito C. In 2007 I made the transition to digital photography with a Canon EOS 50D and later a full frame (35mm) 5D MkII. I now shoot with a classic Leica M9 rangefinder camera and a Nikon D700 DSLR.
My Leica M9 has the same vintage feel as my early film cameras. It’s small enough to take everywhere I go which is great for street photography, and it allows me to blend unobtrusively into the background at weddings to record those “once-in-a-lifetime” moments as they unfold before my viewfinder.
